UMKC School of Medicine held a celebration for the grand opening of its new 22,000-square-foot education building in St. Joseph. The $14.5 million project was made possible through collaboration with Mosaic Life Care, state and federal leaders and local stakeholders, including $1.5 million in state funding.
The facility strengthens UMKC’s commitment to addressing the rural physician shortage by expanding opportunities to recruit, train and retain the next generation of doctors who will serve Missouri’s rural communities. Read more here.
