Jess Mengel serves as Director of Membership Services for the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce. She affectionately introduces her job as the event planner for the Chamber’s members and volunteers, but more-so her responsibilities include member services such as programing, events, promotional opportunities, building volunteers and advocacy.
Ms. Mengel graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre, emphasis in Acting & Directing.
Before joining the Chamber staff, she performed professionally around the country, while developing career skills in business management and marketing. Ms. Mengel remains active in her craft through volunteering with Robidoux Resident Theatre in St. Joseph. She has served as a past board member for Creative Arts Productions.
As a hometown gal, Ms. Mengel has continually advocated for the support of local businesses and community organizations. She hopes to inspire this same servant-mind and love for community within her two daughters.
