Ed Black

Military Advocate, St. Joseph Community Alliance

Ed Black, Military Advocate for the St. Joseph Community Alliance, has more than 34 years of Military experience, having recently retired.  His previous assignments at the 139th Airlift Wing include the Wing Commander, Vice Commander, Operations Group Commander and Commandant of the Advanced Airlift Tactics Training Center.

Ed has also spent over five years in Washington D.C. working in the Pentagon for the National Guard Bureau in various capacities to include the Director of Plans and Programs for National Guard Space Operations. While in Washington, Ed attended the National Defense University, Industrial College of the Armed Forces where he earned a Master’s Degree in National Resource Strategy.
