Rosecrans recently broke ground on a new wildlife fence aimed at preventing animals from approaching the runway.
The $1.8 million project will place approximately 20,000 linear feet of fence that stands 8′ high and will include a wildlife skirt placed underground for animal control and runway safety.
The project is a collaborative effort between Rosecrans Memorial Airport, the Air National Guard and the City of St. Joseph.
