Red Cross Unveils New Emergency Response Vehicle

 



The American Red Cross unveiled its new emergency response vehicle recently, celebrating with a ribbon cutting, live music, a food truck and a gift basket auction.

The vehicle can be used for distribution, serving meals and a space for volunteers to work.

Headquartered in St. Joseph, the Northwest Missouri chapter covers 18 counties.  In Missouri those counties are Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Caldwell, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway and Worth.  The Kansas counties covered are Atchison, Doniphan and Leavenworth.

The American Red Cross provides response to disaster victims, emergency communications for military families, preparedness information, international tracing services, and training in first aid, CPR and water safety.  They also collect and distribute life-saving blood products.
