The Chamber hosted its economic development investors and other members at its annual Economic Development Summit on Wednesday. The annual event, presented by R/S Electric Corp., serves as a way to update members on economic development activity in St. Joseph and to discuss national topics.
This year Chamber President Natalie Hawn discussed expansions at Daily’s Premium Meats, Schuetz Container Systems, Inc., the Steve Craig STJ Hotel Group, the St. Joseph Port Authority and R&W Towing & Recovery, as well Nortian Foodtech’s announcement about opening a facility in St. Joseph.
“When businesses invest in their St. Joseph facilities and equipment, they secure their future here,” Hawn said.
They keynote speaker was Dr. Chris Kuehl, managing partner and co-founder of Armada Corporate Intelligence. He talked to the audience about the economy: a brief history and a look into the future and discussed variables that play a factor.
