Matt Wilson, new president of Missouri Western State University, spoke to the St. Joseph business community about issues facing the university and its students at the 2019 St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Breakfast held July 24.
Decreased state funding and rising expenses are problems for universities and students alike. Wilson discussed the effect of four-year degrees on lifetime income levels and the importance of scholarships. He plans to bring changes to some programming at MWSU to help scholarships grow as students progress through college. To read more, see this News-Press article.
