
The Missouri Department of Agriculture Director Chris Chinn visited St. Joseph today to attend the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce Agri Business Meeting and two tour agribusiness companies.
The meeting was held at BioZyme Inc. and then she and some Chamber and other officials toured Albaugh.
Chinn was named Missouri Director of Agriculture in 2017. She has been an agriculture leader on local, state and national levels for more 20 years, in roles such as the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Faces of Farming, American Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers chair and Missouri Farm Bureau Board of Directors. She has served under three governors and lives on a farm in Clarence, Mo.
She spoke about issues familiar to those in the audience, including production, trade and factors that affect farmers as well as those in industry.
