The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce hosted a forum for candidates running for mayor during a Public Affairs Coffee on Thursday, Feb. 3. The event was free to view online or on TV, or could be attended in person at Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center as a breakfast.
If you missed it between now and Election Day, the primary is on Feb. 8 you can watch the forum on the NOW Channel (ch. 3 on cable, 26.3 over-the-air). It will run from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Candidates (as they are listed on the ballot) are Gary S. Wilkinson, John Josendale, Gary Lewis and Whitney Lanning. News-Press NOW reporter Quinn Ritzdorf served as moderator and asked questions in categories like economic development, public health and safety, leadership and more.
Public Affairs Coffees are presented by FSB. They are held at least four times a year to bring topics of public interest to members of the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce or the public at large.
