On Wednesday members of the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce gathered for the annual Economic Development Summit to hear updates on local projects and learn about the national economy.
Thomas Hoenig, former president of the Federal Bank of Kansas City, went over data from many decades showing the country’s history with spending and debt and discussed the Central Bank’s role in the past and in the future.
Natalie Hawn, President and CEO of the St. Joseph Chamber, discussed several expansion projects happening in the St. Joseph area and gave an update on workforce development projects.
The Economic Development Summit was presented by RS Electric.
