Legislative Forum Held at Public Affairs Coffee

The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce hosted a legislative forum on Tuesday, Oct. 22, that featured candidates running for contested state and county offices during its Public Affairs Coffee series.

Speakers included those in the following contests: Missouri District 10 Representative: Incumbent Bill Falkner (R) and Andrew Gibson (D); Missouri District 13 Representative: Incumbent Sean Pouche (R), and Andrea Denning (D); Buchanan County Western District Commissioner: Incumbent Ron Hook (D), and Everett D. Goddard, Jr. (R)

Incumbents answered questions about what they’ve accomplished in office and what they hope to do in the future, while challengers were asked what priorities they’d have if elected. Members of the live audience were able to submit questions to moderator Brent Martin, KFEQ 680 AM News Director.

The forum was broadcast live on the radio and streamed on stjosephpost.com.

Public Affairs Coffees are presented by Farmers State Bank.
