Homeland Response Force Building Opens

 



The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce assisted in a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, Dec. 14, at the 139th Homeland Response Force (HRF) Building at the 139th Airlift Wing of the Missouri Air National Guard. U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Stephen Danner, adjutant general of the Missouri National Guard, as well as civic, state and military representatives, participated. The HRF medical airmen are trained to mobilize within 12 hours of large scale domestic terrorist attacks or natural disasters. The Missouri Guard HRF is responsible for REMA Region 7 which includes Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas.
