Chamber Receives Grants from Schmidt Foundation/Eagle Communications

Eagle Communications General Manager Liby Waltemath presented the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce with $40,000 in grant funds for two separate projects at the Chamber’s Board meeting on Tuesday. The Schmidt Foundation, which is a part of Eagle Communications, has a mission to improve the communities in which Eagle operates. The Foundation gave  $20,000 for further education and an awareness campaign to support the St. Joseph School District’s Vision Forward plan. It also gave $20,000 to support the Adopt-A-Block campaign, a program that the Chamber plans to launch to the full business community at the end of the year.

“We are excited and want to thank the Schmidt Foundation through Eagle Communication for their support,” said Natalie Redmond, President and CEO of the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce
