Chamber Launches Web Page to Help Local Unemployed Residents

The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce has created a web page dedicated to helping residents find jobs. The Uncommon Life Job Center has links to job postings at small and large employers, a resume bank and information for job seekers and human resources personnel.

Uncommon Life is a Chamber program historically dedicated to recruiting new talent to the St. Joseph community and to employee retention. But with the recent rise in unemployment because of COVID-19, it has added tools to help our current residents find new employment.

The resume bank allows job seekers to upload their resume and advertise their area of expertise in a pdf format. Human resources personnel from St. Joseph companies will be encouraged to regularly visit the web page to help find the right candidates to fill their job vacancies.

“The Chamber’s mission is to create an environment that allows businesses to thrive and the community to prosper,” said R. Patt Lilly, President and CEO. “Helping companies find qualified workers and getting residents who may have lost their jobs due to COVID back to work is of the utmost importance to us.”
