Boehringer Ingelheim recently expanded, adding a new state-of-the art research and development facility. This expansion is part of overall upgrades on the campus at Gene Field Road in St. Joseph.

The new laboratory is a testament to Boehringer Ingelheim’s commitment to innovation and excellence. It is the first of its kind, designed to streamline the process of taking products from research and development to manufacturing, ultimately enhancing the company’s ability to serve animals better. Boehringer Ingelheim’s St. Joseph location is a key site within the company’s global operations.

This location is primarily dedicated to the research, development and production of animal health products for livestock. The opening of this new laboratory underscores the company’s dedication to leading the industry in research, development, and manufacturing.

The company develops vaccines for different animals including cattle, horses, swine and household pets.
