Bartlett Center Celebrates & Black Business Summit

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held recently to celebrate the completion of renovations at the Bartlett Center. The ceremony was held before the Black Business Summit.

The $1.2 million project included renovations to the gymnasium, a new HVAC system and repairing the roof. It was paid for by the City of St. Joseph’s Capital Improvements Program and tax.

Children who attend programs at the community center played an exhibition basketball game after the ceremony. Visit Bartlett Center for more information.

The Black Business Summit was held after the ribbon-cutting ceremony. It included a history of black business in St. Joseph, a highlight of current black-owned businesses, an entrepreneur focus with LaTonya Williams and Brandon Wilson and resource panel.
