Images from Chiefs Training Camp
The Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp was held in St. Joseph for three weeks this summer. Fans from across the nation became St. Joseph tourists and visited camp, hotels, restaurants, stores and all kinds of St. Joseph businesses. The Chamber helped plan a number of events that helped the camp succeed in its first year. In this slide show, you'll see pictures of the Red Rally (provided by the City of St. Joseph), which the Chamber helped coordinate. Other photos are from the last day of camp. The banners featured in the slideshow were a part of a homemade banner contest where residents were encouraged to welcome the Chiefs to their new summer home. St. Joseph ranks No. 5 in nation in job growth St. Joseph was ranked No. 5 in the nation in job growth by NewGeography.com. The website analyzes places where people live and work. "Our success over the last 25 years is now showing great rewards, like with this ranking. While most employers cut their workforce in this recent recession, we were fortunate we didn’t have multiple closures. Many of our businesses were insulated from the effects of a deep recession," said Ted Allison, Chamber President and CEO. Moving to St. Joseph? Watch this video
